Hi Jeff (or any other staffer),

Is there any way to change the _ia_thumb.jpg file? On the details page, one of my books, Danses, is now displaying one of the pages inside the book, rather than the cover, as the thumbnail view of the book itself. If it can be changed, do I need to supply and upload the .jpg file myself, or is this something that is created during the "derive" process? If I do need to create it, what dimensions does it need to be? Please take a look at:

Thanks,

Les Wade

I have a basically identical question. I've changed the title page of a book using the instructions here: https://archive.org/about/faqs.php#1169

Now I'd like the _ia_thumb.jpg to represent the new title page.

Will this process happen on its own?

For those wondering, yes, apparently it does. Happy day!

Well, actually, it looks like the problem has now resolved itself. The details page is now showing the correct cover page as the thumbnail. Thanks.

p.s. I do have an additional question. If one were to delete the .gif files, would they then be "regenerated by running the derive function? Would other files be similarly renewed? Just curious...
